How to Cook pierogi

Boiling frozen pierogi

  1. Boil 5 quarts of water
  2. Add 2 teaspoons of salt
  3. Place pierogi in boiling water
  4. Once they float, set a timer for 2 minutes
  5. After 2 minutes have passed, remove pierogi and place on a plate or tray
  6. Keep them separated as they will stick together when hot and wet.  Top them with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Frying pierogi

  1. Heat a saute pan on medium heat
  2. Add butter or olive oil
  3. Fry pierogi on each side until golden brown
  4. Enjoy

optional toppings

  • For savory pierogi, top with sour cream, caramelized onions, and/or bacon bits
  • For dessert pierogi, top with sour cream or sweet cream

Yukon gold potato, farmers cheese (2% milk), caramelized onion (onion & butter), salt, pepper

Sauerkraut & Mushroom filling

Sauerkraut, mushroom, caramelized onion (onion & butter), salt, pepper

 chicken & beef filling

Chicken, beef, onion, carrot, leek, parsley root, all spice, bay leaf, salt, pepper

Chorizo & Potato filling

Mexican Chorizo, Yukon Gold Potatoes, salt, pepper
